Our story
Cobalt Orchard Health Systems was founded on a simple observation: the most sophisticated healthcare technology often fails in practice because it wasn't designed for the people who actually use it.
Patients abandon appointment scheduling portals. Staff spend hours working around workflow systems. Critical information gets lost because data doesn't flow between tools. These aren't technical failures—they're design failures.
Our founder, Elena Marlowe, spent 18 years watching this pattern repeat across healthcare organizations. After leading product teams at two major EHR vendors, she decided to start something different: a company that would build healthcare technology by starting with real people—patients, families, care teams—and letting their needs drive the design.
Today, Cobalt Orchard works with hospital systems, specialty care networks, community health providers, and public health programs across the United States. Daniel oversees our technology strategy and platform architecture. A full-stack engineer and system design leader, he spent 12 years building scalable health platforms at two major healthcare providers before joining Cobalt Orchard.
